The Einstein Center Digital Future (ECDF)

The new Einstein Center has been conceived as an inter-university nucleus for research on the digitalization of our society. The aim is to foster innovative, cutting-edge interdisciplinary research, and to provide outstanding training for talented young scholars. 38.5 million euros are being invested in around 50 new professorships. The new Einstein Center, a public-private partnership, brings together universities, non-university institutes, and industrial enterprises, as well as federal ministries. The scale of this alliance between public entities, sponsors and supporters is unique in Berlin’s history as a center of academic endeavor. The Einstein Center will be based in the Robert Koch Forum.

Berlin is seeking the top minds in the field of digitalization and over the next few months continues to put out calls for a total of 50 new IT professorships. The second call is now open. Apply until 7 January 2017.
